Thursdays – dance & friends!

The That Swing Lindy Hop classes on Thursday evenings are led by Stacey and Lea. These passionate Lindy Hop dancers are always delighted to welcome new dance addicts to our wonderful dance scene in Nuremberg. After the class, everyone always stays for a cosy get-together in our dance studio or another blues session before the evening comes to an end.

After class (from 9 p.m.), there is a cosy get-together in our dance studio (or the blues lesson from 9–10 p.m.).

If your class ends at 8 p.m. but you would like to stay for the social part of the evening or the blues class at 9 p.m., you are welcome to make yourself comfortable on the sofas in the foyer or the roof terrasse, perhaps even bringing a board game or card game if there are several of you.

Never danced Lindy Hop? Our beginner’s courses are the perfect fit for you! We aspire to teach the basics of the dance and the principles of following and leading without sticking to fixed dance patterns. You will be on the social dance floor in no time! We have 3 blocks of different basic content each year. We encourage you to take them all before moving on to the next level.

If you already have roundabout a year of Lindy Hop dance history and are feeling more or less secure and comfortable in the different rhythms and basic figures (like Swing out, Tuck turn, Send out, …) you can try yourself in the intermediate level.
Have experience and want to drop in? You’re more than welcome to do so!

Sunday – Intensive courses

• Level 3 = intermediate-advanced
• Once a month on Sundays
• 2 hours of class time
• This gives the course more of a workshop feel, allowing us to focus more closely on complex figures and techniques, practising and consolidating them.

• You want to improve your personal dance skills and regularly attend a differentiated Lindy Hop level.
• You are ready to refine your basics and are open to breaking old habits, getting rid of them and learning new ones.
• You want to be able to lead and follow using more complex techniques and learn to use them in a relaxed manner.
• You have already internalised and understood your Lindy Hop basics such as groove, rhythm and connection so well that you can quickly adapt them with new input.
