Lindy Loves Blues

  • 23. – 25. May 2025
  • Lindy Hop (2 Levels)
  • Blues (1 All Levels – Sat. + Sun. continuous class)
  • Teachers: Annette Kühnle & Eran Tobi
  • 2 days of workshops (+ Special class on Friday)
  • 2 Dance Nights with DJs

Imagine a weekend where Lindy Hop and blues belong together, if that’s what you want.
A weekend full of music, movement and people who want the same things as you: to dance, laugh and connect.

In the workshops with Annette and Eran, you will not only learn how to move your feet and body when dancing, but also how to look like you’ve always been doing it. Work on your technique and your moves – tweak a little here, turn a little there – and suddenly you’ll be moving in a completely different way.

In our open and friendly community, it’s not about perfection, but about the shared experience that might change you a little, in an atmosphere that is so welcoming that you’ll want to stay.

Eran and Annette met each other years ago on the dancefloor and – after rounds and rounds of fantastic dances – they realised they had a very similar idea of smooth connection, clear body movement and original musicality, all with a generous helping of dance humor. As teachers they want to share their vision of great social dancing with you. No one knows what they’ll cook up but it’ll sure have a bit of everything: Rhythms and moves, shapes and style, class & sass, grounded individual and beautifully partnered movement.

Eran’s passion for dancing has taken him almost literally around the globe. Travelling for dance and seeking inspiration in his path to finding his own voice on the dance floor has shaped him to be the dancer, teacher and performer he his today. Eran believes that a focus on body movement frees people to enjoy any dance, no matter what music is playing. His own dance versatility helps him bridge the gap between styles and dances. In his classes, Eran enjoys drawing comparisons to everyday life experiences to help dancers easily master even the most complex movements.

Annette hails from Heidelberg, Germany and is one of Europe’s most prominent proselytisers of blues dance as a teacher, social dancer, DJ and organiser. Her love of teaching and dancing are infectious and if you’ve travelled for blues, you probably already knew that! Annette is excited to be teaching in beautiful Nürnberg again and she is looking forward to helping you bring out your inner awesome!

Special Class (Friday night)

Just come and join us! The special class is aimed at everyone who enjoys dancing. Whether you’ve been dancing for 10 years or are just starting out. We look forward to having you with us.

Lindy Hop 2 Sympathizer

You have already managed to learn the most important Lindy Hop basics like 6- and 8-count rhythms, Swing Out, Tuck Turn, basic Lindy Charleston… and you’ve attended more than just a few Lindy Hop classes. You want to practice, understand and refine your basics and connect yourself more to the music. You go to social dances on a regular basis.
Local Level comparison: Montagstraining intermediate, KHG-Kurs Level 2+3, SSM intermediate

Lindy Hop 3 Enthusiast

You’ve been learning and dancing Lindy Hop intensively and you can draw from a wide repertoire of basics that you are confident in leading or following. You have attended several (international) workshops. You go to social dances regularly and feel confident with your dancing no matter to what tempo or with what partner you dance. You have a good connection and and can lead or follow more complex patterns without thinking about the basics. You want to dive deeper into styling, musicality and tempo.

Blues All Level (Saturday)

You already have some dance experience but not necessarily in blues dancing, or you have been dancing blues for a while. Now you want to expand your vocabulary and experience and improve your musical dancing – in this course you are guaranteed to learn something new, whether everything is new to you or you are honing your existing technique and repertoire. As blues has so many different facets, every course brings new input or gives you the opportunity to deepen your existing knowledge.

Blues Continous Level (Sunday)

If you took part in the Saturday course or have already gained dance experience in other blues courses, then you should have no problems joining in here.
Probably the knowledge already taught on Saturday is taken as a basis for the Sunday course.
