Blues Dance workshop with Jered Morin

Join our group of warm-hearted dancers at our blues week-end of classes and parties on the 31st March – 2nd April 2023.

Two days of workshops and parties on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening are waiting for you.

Saturday workshop will be an all-level class and Sunday will be higher level (Intermediate and above).

This workshop is beginner friendly. If you are new to Blues dancing, there will be a class at 1 PM on Saturday to teach you the basics of Blues Dancing and get you ready for the Saturday workshop and party.

TEACHER

Jered Morin

Over 20 years ago, Jered found his passion: sharing the rhythm, power, and creativity of dance. Since then he’s been touring, teaching, and performing on television, the stage, and floors around the globe.

In the classroom, his aim is always the same — to inspire and challenge you in new ways. That’s paired with an expanded understanding of the history and culture behind your favorite dances, whether that’s Blues, Burlesque, Lindy Hop, Balboa or others.

Build advanced body movements, unlock new partnering techniques, and find your own personal style to make every dance more fun than the last!

Sunday: House party at Andreas‘ place (Erlangen). You will find out the address at the workshops / In the Information Email

Costs

CLASSES

Members of 1.BWC: free
Non-members of 1.BWC: 30 € per day
Non-members of 1.BWC + students/pupils/apprentices: 20 € per day
Pay: Cash at check-in.

You can become a member of the 1. Boogie Woogie Club Nürnberg to qualify for the discount. The association offers Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop and Blues dancing and much more.

PARTYS

Friday: Donation based at Weinerei (~5€)
Saturday: Donations based (recommended 10–15 €)
Sunday: Free, bring some food and drinks to share.

Individual registration is mandatory.
After you registered, if you cannot come for any reason please let us know as soon as possible.

COVID-19

Let’s all work together and create a safe environment. Act responsible towards your fellow dancers.
Refrain from attending if you show symptoms of Covid-19, Influenza or other infectious diseases.
Take a Covid self test at home before attending the weekend.
