Collegiate Shag – the favourite party dance of the college kids back in 1930ies!
The course is part of THAT TEMPO TUESDAY at That Swing dance school.

Collegiate Shag Beginners
Tuesday
19–20.30 h training
Basics for beginners. No prior experience necessary, we built up the basics from scratch.
It is recommended to take all 3 beginner’s blocks at least once before going to the next level, because we teach different basics in each block.
Also recommended for non-beginners to refresh and practice (it’s free if you are registered for the intermediate class).
Collegiate Shag Intermediates
Tuesday
20.30–22 h training
Course for Shaggers with already some experience. For this class:
- You are secure with dancing with the music and your body shows the rhythm when you dance.
- You are able to dance to faster music in a relaxed way.
- You incorporated a groove and shag-like posture.
- Your vocabulary contents the basic Shag moves and a general understanding of stretch, tension and release in dancing
Please talk to the teachers, if you think you are a good fit for this level.
It is recommended to take all 3 of our beginner’s blocks at least once before going to the next level, because we teach different basics in each block.

- 2 levels: Beginner and Intermediate
- No dance partner needed, we change partners
- Bi-weekly, 90 minutes each class, 7 Tuesdays per course

Tuesday evenings Balboa followed by Solo Jazz and Yoga classes are taking place, alternating with Collegiate Shag Level 1 and 2 the following week.
